Hi, Jonah here. I was born and reared in a small Appalachian town, were guns were as common as dogs and cats. I used to go hunting with my dad, my sister, and sometimes my mom (who was the best damn shot in the family!). I stopped hunting in my late teens, having realized it was unnecessary to shoot for food when there were three grocery stores in town. I haven't shot anything since I was 19, which was 39 years. I am not, nor have I ever been, a member of the reprehensible group of shills called the NRA! I do own guns, though: just a standard rifle and a Smith & Wesson .22 handgun. That is, until the Dumb Orange Wannabe Dictator was "elected." Since then, I've acquired three AK-47s and, yes, two AR-15s, a gun each for myself, my wife, two sons and my daughter. The way I see it, the right-wingnuts have been jonesing for Civil War II for at least two decades now, and Trump is doing NOTHING to discourage them. If they want my country, well, I'm not giving it up without a fight, though I truly hope our country's desperate situation can be resolved peacefully. I support strict gun control and, with the exception of the .22, I will CHEERFULLY give up my guns if Congress ever grows a pair of balls and passes the legislation!
